A Century Denim reinterpretation of Japanese shortpants that were often worn for agricultural work. Designed for the labor intensive job of hand picking rice, these shortpants have a deep rise and wide legs. The inseam is short so they can be worn in deep water without getting wet.

 

13.5oz Rigid Denim woven with 2 types of yarn. No. 5 denim is plant dyed with persimmon tannins and reinforced with indigo dyed sashiko thread. Over time, the fade of the indigo dyed sashiko thread contrasts with the kakishibu dyed denim, creating a personalized aging effect. Living up to its name, Century Denim is extremely durable, built to last a lifetime.
